We are a new company, based in the Netherlands (The Hague), founded in 2024 and have a passion for (wall) art.
In collaboration with a selection of the best calligraphy artists in the Netherlands, we deliver top-quality products for affordable prices. Our specialty is Chinese Calligraphy and especially custom work (delivering your own name or text). Our focus is on calligraphy art for the wall.
Where did our idea to offer calligraphy products start?
In 2008 we travelled to Vietnam. There we saw a beautiful banner hanging in a restaurant with Chinese calligraphy. Unfortunately it was not for sale. The restaurant manager referred us to the Internet. But even there we could not find such a product for sale anywhere. Eventually, years later, we made our own banner with Chinese calligraphy. Not a professional work of art, but acceptable enough for our living room. An acquaintance translated the names of our three children into Chinese and we calligraphed them ourselves on a canvas.
In 2024 we searched the Internet again for banners with calligraphy and even then the offer was still very limited, At that time we started Calli Wall Art.
