Your text will be professionally translated from NL or EN to Japanese or Chinese and then calligraphed by an artist in a traditional way. We translate to Chinese-Simplified as standard. On request we can also do that to Chinese-Traditional.

Tip: the shorter the text, the better the result. The best result for banners is:

- SMALL: 3 to 6 characters. This corresponds to 2-4 NL or EN words.
- MEDIUM: 3 to 8 characters. This corresponds to 3-5 NL or EN words.
- LARGE: 4 to 8 characters. This corresponds to 3-6 NL or EN words.

On average, one Dutch word corresponds to one or (more often) two characters. For example, the Dutch word "computer" can be translated to "电脑" (diànnǎo), which is two characters.

However, this can vary greatly depending on the specific words and context. Some Dutch words may require one character, while more complex words and expressions may require more characters.

The translation takes place offline . The final result is not visible until you receive the product.

Our translators do more than just translate. They also think along to achieve a beautiful result.

The signature (red stamp) and the year are standard on the product. If you do not want this or want it differently, please mention this in the 'special instructions'.

Postage costs
For the Netherlands, the standard contribution to shipping costs is EUR 2.99, regardless of the weight, size or number of items ordered.

For international shipments, shipping costs will be calculated at checkout. For EU, expect shipping costs of 4 to 5 euros. For outside EU, expect a contribution to shipping costs of between 4 and 10 euros.

Dispatch
We normally ship our products within 3-5 business days. This is because most of our products are handmade and personalized. And there is also a standard drying time for the ink. This takes time.

Urgent deliveries are possible. Please contact us for this.

Track & Trace
Once your order has been shipped, you will immediately receive a confirmation email with a Track & Trace code. This allows you to track your package online.

Problems with your delivery?
Did you not receive your order within the expected delivery time, or is there a problem with the delivery? Please contact us so we can help you as soon as possible.

Packaging
Our banners and larger paper formats (A3 and larger) are delivered rolled up in a cardboard mailing tube. The other products are delivered in a mailing envelope. We use as little plastic as possible and as much recycled cardboard as possible. All our mailing material (including any filling material) carries the FSC quality mark.

Unpacking
It can sometimes take a few hours to a few days for our 'banner' products to hang completely flat after they are removed from the mailing tube and hung. This is normal.

Pick up orders
It is currently not possible to collect our products.

Where do we ship to?
We currently ship to most EU countries and to USA, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Australia and India. On request (send us an email) we also ship to other countries. Please contact us for this.

By using high-quality canvas, such as linen or cotton painter's canvas, our banners remain flat and do not curl at the edges under the influence of, for example, heat and moisture, as is the case when using standard paper or traditional rice paper. Furthermore, the canvas minimizes the unevenness caused by the ink. This distinguishes us from most other providers of calligraphy products.

CRAFTSMANSHIP AND NATURAL MATERIAL

Calligraphy remains manual work. This means that every product may look different. Even the translation can vary per artist. The calligraphy style may differ. The ink used can also vary in thickness and layering. Small imperfections make the work authentic. It is pure handiwork and therefore not digital.

Our products are made of natural material. Although our canvases (painter's canvases) are of the highest quality, it is possible that they may contain small imperfections. The edges of the canvas may curl slightly under the influence of heat and humidity in the home. Normally, this should not be distracting or noticeable.

For our banners: as soon as you take the product out of the packaging and hang it up, it will take a few hours or even days before it hangs completely straight. This is normal. You can speed up this process slightly by very gently rubbing the back of the canvas with a clean, flat hand. If the slight curling of the canvas remains distracting, you can optionally iron the back of the canvas lightly at a mild temperature.

For a tight finish we recommend using one of our hanging systems (for banners) or frames (for A5-A2). You can find these in the webshop.

For banners, choose the same width as the product.

Unfortunately, we do not offer solutions for hanging our poster/banner products in 'landscape' (horizontal).

Personalised products cannot be returned unless there is demonstrable evidence of errors on our part, for example an incorrect product was delivered or demonstrable (transport) damage.

For all other products we have a 14 day return policy. This means that you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
